Miss Kamal, as known around the town, is the sole proprietor for her striving business for 15 years. Her early business years started out as a grocery stall in the village market and has now evolved into one that’s diversified in many areas such as cosmetics, a boutique, electronics and so much more. Growing up Kamal always had a passion to see Bartica on a higher and better level and with this she became active in politics which became her launching board for many great opportunities. Being a single parent, Ms Persaud also finds her passion in being a representative for and helping single mothers, and women from the social ills that have been affecting them. Furthermore, she believes that with improved institutions within the town many of these social ills can be reduced or even eliminated to have a better Bartica.

Message: With improved institutions and better services in the educational and health care aspects, I believe that residents of this town can achieve financial security. And with financial security persons will be able to have a secure future where they can utilize their full potential.
