Mrs Gittens, a wife and mother, is a business woman for 12 years who sells clothing and jewellery. Along with that she has worked at the Regional Democratic Council of Region 7 for 7 years. Mr Shurland, her dad was a politician and because of this as a young person June ventured into politics at a very tender age. When asked to join the council it was a definite yes from her. Ever since it has been an adventure, not just for her but the entire council, as there has been so many things that they have accomplished. Mrs Gittens is also a member of the Faith Renewed Tabernacle International Church and serves as a Sunday School Teacher and Worship Leader.
